Tarot simply helps us slow down and notice.

And it makes sense that, for me, it’s a storytelling practice. I have a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing, and my ‘regular work’ is in support of students and faculty in that field of study.

But my interest in tarot cards began with a love of the artwork of the modern decks and a desire to approach my days in a new way. Lately I’ve been drawn to share the insights.

Welcome to Appleseed Tarot.

I do a tarot and oracle card spread for myself a few times a week to calm my mind, with interpretations chock full of metaphor and meandering, and I’ve studied the formal interpretations of the cards in my downtime for years. Depending on the day and decks I’m using, the message is always a little different and it always seems to shift me to a better, more positive place. You won’t find any melancholy predictions here, although I do complain about the state of the world sometimes.

I publish a collective reading about once a week on my homepage when the mood strikes, and I notify on Instagram and Bluesky when I post. If you like my content and want to use an excerpt, please remember to give credit to the card creators and artists.

If you’re interested in a personal reading, these are offered just as they are here—in written format with photos of your spread—and keep in mind that I use tarot cards for reflection and personal growth, and not for divination. I can’t predict the future :)

Please get in touch with me by email at appleseedtarot@gmail.com for rates and scheduling, or just to say hello!

Thanks for stopping by.
